Mrs. Alice M. Barger

January 22, 1943 - March 22, 2008

Alice Marie Rector Barger, 65, passed away March 22, 2008. She was born January 22, 1943 in Indianapolis. She retired from the IRS in 2006 after 25 years of service. She was also a full-time wife, mother and homemaker. She was past Auditor and Treasurer of the Madison County Deaf Club. She was also an active member of the Senior Silent Hoosiers at the Indianapolis Senior Center.

Mrs. Barger is survived by her husband, James W. Barger, whom she married in Bloomington, IN on Oct. 10, 1964; daughters: Diana Bryson, Jeanne (Rob) Scheets; and Katherine Barger; son, Larry (Tina) W. Barger; mother, Mary I. Rector; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, John T. Rector and younger brother, Bill Rector.

Funeral Information

A celebration of Alice's life will be held on Wed., March 26, 2008 at Grandview Church of the Brethren, Pendleton. Friends may call from 11 am until the service begins at 2 pm.
