Betty J. Corbett, 91, of Indianapolis, passed away, Friday, October 20, 2017 at Alexandria Care Center.  She was born May 2, 1926 in Ingalls, IN to the late Samuel J. and Opal M. (Ginder) Hall.  Betty was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Ingalls and had graduated from Ingalls School.  She enjoyed working with ceramics, crocheting, sewing and writing and performing gospel music.  Betty had been a cook at the former Western Electric Plant, Mallory’s and Mayflower.  She retired in 1980.

Betty is survived by daughters: Vicki (Robert) Witte of Shelbyville and Christy (Tim Washburn) Bowman of Alexandria; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister: Marlene (Danny) Walls of Warsaw.  She was preceded in death by her husband Charles F. Corbett, Jr.; brothers: William D. Hall and Layman Hall; sister: Martina Runyan.

A Celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville with Rev. Danny Walls officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.  Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 50 E. 91st Street Suite 100 Indianapolis, IN 46209-4830 or the Madison County Humane Society 2219 Crystal St, Anderson, IN 46012.
