James L. Ecoff

March 27, 1928 - June 05, 2008

James L. Ecoff, 80, of Fortville, passed away June 5, 2008. He was born March 27, 1928 to the late Vance & Effie (Lowe) Ecoff. He was a 1947 graduate of Anderson HS, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He started working for Ecoff Trucking and later served as a safety director for Liquid Transport. He then became an owner/operator for 10 years. He is a member of F&AM No. 207, Scottish Rite Valley of Indy, the Murat Shrine and Fortville United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia (Kellam) Ecoff; daughter, Connie (Jeff) Roudebush of Fortville; brother, Tom (Aletha) Ecoff of Greenwood; granddaughter, Christa Herring (Dan) of Carmel; grandson, Keian (Carly) Roudebush of Carmel; great-grandchildren: Vance, Kiana, Grace & Madelyn Roudebush and Alex Herring. He was preceded in death by his sons, Curtis and Chris; sister, Joan Ecoff and brother, Harold.

Funeral Information

A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 11:30 am, Tues., June 10, 2008 at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. Burial & military graveside rites will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson. Friends may call on Mon., June 9, 2008 from 4 to 8 pm at Seals.
