Joann H. Jones

Joann H. Jones, 85, of Greenfield, formerly of Fortville passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 in Greenfield.  She was born October 3, 1932 in Noblesville to the late Hubert G. and Myrl (Rushton) Hiday.  JoAnn graduated from Noblesville High School and was a member of The Bridge Church in Fortville.  She retired from Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation as a custodian.

Joann is survived by children: Walter James McNew of Fortville; Amy (husband Dave Pfeiffer) Shackleford-Pfeiffer of Greenfield; Michael McNew of Cloverdale and Charles Richard (Belinda) Jones of Seminole, FL; brothers: Ralph Hiday of Lapel and William Hiday of KY; grandchildren Lisa, Mariah and Keith and 4 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Charles L. Jones in 1994; brother Robert Hiday and sisters: Marie Glover, Helen Brown, Mary Suiter, Mae Fippen, Frances Jackson, Martha Hiday and Betty Wooldridge.

A Celebration of Joann’s life will be held onThursday, March 29, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.  Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00 pm until the time of service.  Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville, IN.
