Roy Lee Houk

Roy Lee Houk, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, July 7, 2008. He was born July 21, 1930 to the late Charles and Aletha (Harrison) Houk. Mr. Houk was a veteran of the US Marine Corps & the US Army. He retired from Hubler Chevrolet in Indianapolis where he served as Parts Manager for over 30 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge # 17, the Murat Shrine, and the Foresters. Roy loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and camping. He also belonged to a euchre card club and assisted with the Little League World Series regional games in Indianapolis. Mr. Houk is survived by son, Richard (Mary) Houk of Fortville; step-daughter, Pam (Charlie) Pollard of Minster, OH; sister, Verna Boots of Carmel; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife, Barbara, and sisters Dorothy Glenn and Florence Logan.

Funeral Information

Friends may call Thursday July 10, 2008 from 4 to 8 pm at Seals Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fortville. A celebration of Roy's life will be held Friday July 11, 2008 at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis.
