April 10, 1923 - January 22, 2010

Joseph R. Postrack, 86, of Fortville, passed away Friday, January 22, 2010 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born April 10, 1923 in Fort Wayne and was a U.S. Army WWII veteran. He retired from Indianapolis Newspapers in 1985 after 22 years of service. Previously, he had worked at Grapho Products, the Fortville Tribune, the Anderson Herald Bulletin, Central Publishing Co. and Indianapolis Printing Co. Joe was a member of the Fortville VFW Post #6904, American Legion Post #391, the U.S. Power Squadrons, Old Time Printers Club, Gravel Lawn Cemetery Board, Indianapolis Computer Club, International Typographical Union No. 1 and Barbee Lake Property Owners Association. Joe is survived by brother George Ledbetter of Ft. Wayne; nieces, Pat (Edward) Prater of Noblesville & Phyllis (David) Kincade of Fortville; nephew, James (Sherron) Hoff of Noblesville; & numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Bette M. (Ross) Postrack whom he married June 10, 1944 in Indianapolis; and sisters Rosemary Peterson and Patty Getts.

Funeral Information

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 26 from 4 to 7 pm at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. The funeral service will take place Wednesday, January 27 at 10:30 am at Gravel Lawn Cemetery Chapel with burial following.
