Sherry Ann Rash Adams, 77, Ramsey, New Jersey and formerly of Fortville, Indiana passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2009. She was born on March 5, 1931 in Hancock County to the late Egbert and Margaret Wood Rash. She graduated from Fortville High School in 1949 and Butler University. Mrs. Adams was a treasured 4th grade teacher in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey for 30 years. She enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, Jack and Emma O’Brien. Sherry was a great friend to many and loved spending fun times with them in the evenings. She was a voracious reader, writer and gardener and will always be remembered for her spunk and devotion to her family. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. In addition to her many friends, Sherry is preceded in death by her former husband, Richard H. Adams and her brother, Ted Rash. She is survived by her children; Douglas Adams ; Eric Adams (Margaret); Emily O’Brien (Daniel). Funeral InformationThe calling will be Tuesday, February 10, 4pm to 8pm at Seals Funeral Home in Fortville and the funeral service on Wednesday, February 11 at 10 am at funeral home. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery. A memorial service is planned for friends and family in New Jersey later this spring at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home.
