Jimmie N. Johnson

Jimmie N. Johnson, 78, of Rochester, formerly of Fortville, died August 15, 2009 in Indianapolis. He was born on December 17, 1930 in Fortville to Victor and Margaret (Hiney) Johnson. He was a 1949 graduate of the old Fortville High School and worked many jobs, including farming in Fulton County and later in the Circulation Department for the Rochester Sentinel. Jimmie was also a U. S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Fortville F&AM No. 207, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Moose Lodge. He is survived by son, Jimmie L. (Jean) Johnson of Kewanna; son, Jamie N. Johnson of Greenfield; daughter, Becky (Doug) Fields of Greenfield; daughter, Vicki (Greg) Gruell of Greenfield; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sam McClintock.
Funeral Information
A private family graveside burial will be held at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville, following cremation.
