Ruth B. Jones

Ruth B. Jones, 86, of Fortville, passed away Sunday February 1, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born May 6, 1922 to the late Horace and Pearl (Garrett) Baker in Bakerton, KY. She married Fairis Jones on August 23, 1946 in Glasgow, KY. She was a dedicated wife and mother and loved sewing and gardening. She is survived by her husband; daughter, Betty (Bob) Doddridge of Greenfield; brother, Cass (Doris) Baker of Glens Fork, KY; granddaughter, Jody (James) Lukowiak of Westfield; grandson, Jason (Megan) Doddridge of Indianapolis; and great-granddaughter, Carlie Lukowiak. Ruth was preceded in death by her brother, William Baker; sister, Geneva Richardson; and twin sister, Ruby Baker Garmon.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from 3 pm until 7 pm at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 10 am at Norris & New Funeral Home, Burkesville, KY. Burial will follow at Burkesville Cemetery.
