James B. Spaur, 89, of Fortville, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born September 29, 1922 in Fortville to the late William E. and Libby A. (Webb) Spaur. Jim retired in 1976 from Delco-Remy in Anderson after 33 years of service. He was a member of United Auto Workers Union Local 662, Fortville Christian Church, Fortville F & AM Lodge No. 207, Fortville Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 149, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and the Murat Shrine. Jim is survived by son Joe A. (Cheryl) Spaur of Alexandria; granddaughter JoLinda Hennis and great-grandchildren Haley & Chelsea; granddaughter Jacque (Mike) Sheable; grandson Jay (Pam) Spaur & family; granddaughter Jennifer (Mike) Coffman; grandson Samuel; grandson Steve (Melanie) Spaur & family; and step-grandchildren Thomas Simon and sons; and Mark (Angie) Simon & daughters; sister Rosemary True of Jamestown, TN; and his beloved cat Suzy. He was preceded in death by his wife Vertina R. Spaur, sons Robert E. and James E.; brothers Bill and Bus; and sisters Dorothy Davis and Betty Walls.
Funeral Information
Friends may call on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 2 to 6 pm at Seals Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fortville. Funeral services will at 10:30 am on Monday, December 12, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
