Myrna Kuchera Stovall

Myrna (Kuchera) Stovall, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, May 4, 2009 at Community East Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born September 4, 1929 in Lansing, MI to the late Albert L. and Geneva J. (Shaw) Kuchera. She attended elementary school in New Albany, IN, and was a 1947 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Monticello. She later attended Nevada University in Reno and worked as a national customer service representative for both the J.I. Holcomb Co. and Burns Service Co. in Indianapolis. Ms. Stovall was a member of the American Sewing Guild and was a life member of the Thornton Williams Post #81 American Legion Auxiliary in Monticello. Myrna was an accomplished seamstress, a well-known doll courtierre, and was featured several times in the National Doll Magazine for her creative collectible period doll wardrobes. She is survived by her husband Rex O. Stovall, whom she married December 15, 1961 in Indianapolis; sister, Betty (Lawrence) Kuchera Barton of Monticello; daughters Cathy Widner French and Amy Widner Allen, both of Indianapolis; grandchildren: William Ostendorf, Patricia Davis, Deanna French, Melissa French, Rianna Simpson, Casey Allen and Corey Allen; great-grandchildren: Savannah Lightle, Paige Jones, Bella Allen and Alyssa Allen.

Funeral Information

Friends may call on Thursday, May 7 from 4 to 8 pm at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. Private graveside services will take place at a later date in Brookston, IN.
