Bette M. Ross Postrack 84, of Fortville, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at Riverwalk Village Nursing Facility in Noblesville. She was born July 13, 1924 in Indianapolis to William F. and Mildred E. (Thomas) Ross. Bette was a member of the Fortville VFW Post #6904, American Legion Post #391 Ladies Auxiliaries and the U.S. Power Squadron. She worked at Indianapolis Paper Container, Fortville Tribune and retired from the Indianapolis Star & News as a proofreader in 1985. Betty is survived by her husband Joseph R. Postrack, whom she married June 10, 1944 in Indpls; nieces, Pat Prater and Phyllis Kincade; nephew, James Hoff; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Hoff Geiger and brothers, Carl, Robert, William and Frank. Funeral InformationFriends may call on Tues., May 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. The funeral service will take place Wed., May 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Gravel Lawn Cemetery Chapel, with burial following.
