Lewis Million

Lewis Edward Million, 62, of Indianapolis, formerly of Richmond, passed away on December 2, 2011, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.
He was born on Oct. 21, 1949, in East Bernstadt, Kentucky, one of ten children of Luther Million and Edith (Blevins) Moberly.
Ed was a 1969 graduate of Richmond High School, having the distinction of being the first of the family to graduate from high school. Following high school Ed was employed at several local businesses in the Richmond area, but Ed found his home a few years later at Walt Disney Records, where he worked until his retirement after 20 successful years. He was currently employed as a contract specialist for Roche Diagnostics.
He was a member of the Fortville Church of the Nazarene, where he had faithfully served on the church board. He was a former member of the Richmond Saint Paul Church of the Nazarene and the Stringtown Church of the Nazarene where he had served as the Children’s Director and Sunday School Teacher at both. During his leisure Ed enjoyed attending garage sales, spending time fishing with his grandchildren, celebrating his family’s accomplishments and collecting John Wayne and Walt Disney memorabilia.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl A. (Miller) Million, whom he married on Feb. 10, 1973, in Richmond; sons, Cleve Edward Million and his wife Kim, of Fort Wayne, Justin Paul Million and his wife Angela, of Fortville, and Samuel Edward Million of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Sean, Jackson, Jocelyn, Jesiah and Liam; one sister, Ada Neeley of Centerville; brothers, Bill (Teresa) Million of Richmond, Gene (Denise) Million of Connersville, and Don (Carol) Million of Richmond; brother-in-law, Denny Moore of Richmond; two sister-in-laws, Ellen Million of Indianapolis and Diana Rinehart and companion, Ray Harmon of Richmond; two brother- in-laws, Mike Miller of Indianapolis and Pat Miller (Sharon) of Avon; his stepmother, Laura Million of Richmond; a step brother, Dr. William Jones (Jolene) of Lansing, Michigan; a special grandmother, Dessie Cates of Richmond; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Avila, a brother, Ralph Million; a sister, Margie Sue Moore; infant brothers, Jerry, Earl and Larry; and his father and mother in law, Perry and Shirlene Miller.
Funeral Information
Friends may call on Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 3 pm to 7 pm at Fortville Church of the Nazarene, 701 S. Maple St. Funeral services will be held at the church at 11 am on Monday, December 5, 2011. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
