Harlin Hughes

Harlin Hughes, 104, of Fortville, passed away Monday, January 5, 2009 at Golden Living Center Brandywine in Greenfield. He was born March 29, 1904 in Amos, KY to the late Samuel and Bertha (Britt) Hughes. He owned and operated the former Union 76 Station in Fortville for many years retiring in 1965. He was a member of the Fortville F & AM Lodge No. 207. Harlin is survived by daughter A. Jean Hughes-Demegret of Fortville; sister Ruby Whaley of Dallas, TX and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Melva L. (Reynolds) Hughes and brothers Clifford and Carlain Hughes.

Funeral Information

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 10 to 11 am at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. Graveside services will immediately follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
