Dale E. Cain, 64, of McCordsville, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at his home. He was born August 13, 1945 in Oaklandon to Carwon and Jane (Mathley) Cain. He was a 1963 graduate of Mt. Comfort High School and served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He was employed as a computer programmer for Inland Container and later retired from the U.S. Post Office. Dale was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed eating out with his friends. He is survived by his sister Donna (Jerry) Tatom of McCordsville; nieces: Cyndi (Bud) Mitchell of Fortville; and Carla DeLay of Springfield, IL; nephews: Doug Tatom of New Palestine; and Brian (Colleen) DeLay of San Antonio, TX; great-nephew Jason (Melissa) Treadway of Fortville; great-nieces Sarah and Rachel DeLay, both of San Antonio, TX; and great-great-nephew Jacob Treadway of Fortville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Bonnie DeLay.
Funeral Information
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 from 10 am to 12 pm at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville with funeral services beginning at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
