Howard E. Vail, 76 years, of McCordsville, passed away December 13, 2008. He was born March 23, 1932 in Hancock County to Robert A. and Edna (Bergner) Vail. Howard was a lifelong farmer in Hancock County and enjoyed fishing and traveling to many locations including Europe, Alaska, Japan, Hawaii and Florida. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and was past State President of the NFO (National Farmers’ Organization) and an active in Farm-for-Profit. Howard is survived by his wife Marylen (Snider) Vail, whom he married on June 7, 1952 at McCordsville United Methodist Church, where they were both lifelong members; and children: Karen (Larry) Breedlove; Barry (Donna) Vail; Aaron (Nikki Cook) Vail; and Amy (Mitch) Reeves; grandchildren, Lennie and Sam Reeves; bonus grandchildren: Reno Reeves, Sonja Cavallero and Anthony Breedlove; and bonus great-grandchildren, Sky and Ridge Cavallero and Kelsey, Jalen and Jacy Breedlove. Funeral InformationFriends may call on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 from 3-8 pm at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17 at 1 pm at McCordsville United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
