Frances H. Benson

September 12, 1920 - December 10, 2009

Frances Helen (Wetzel) Benson, 89, of Naples, FL, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009. She was born September 12, 1920 to the late Gottlieb and Emma (Rathe) Wetzel in Hickory, IL. She was retired from Collier County Schools where she taught as an elementary teacher for over 20 years. Mrs. Benson was also a member of North Naples United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughter Shirley (Charles) Jacobi of McCordsville, IN; son William W. (Chloanne) Benson of McCordsville, IN; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Wyatt W. Benson; daughter Barbara A. Benson; grandson Jerry L. Jacobi; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Funeral Information

Friends may call on Saturday, December 12, 2009 from 2 to 6 pm at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 1:30 pm at North Naples United Methodist Church in Naples, FL. Friends may call from 11:30 am until the time of service at the chruch. Burial will follow at Naples Memorial Gardens, Naples, FL.
