Jill Wilson, 75, of Anderson, formerly of Pendleton, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 in Indianapolis. She was born December 13, 1943 in Anderson to Robert B. and Faye E. (Lancaster) Alford. Jill was a 1961 graduate of the old Fortville High School and attended Ball State University. She retired in 2015 as the branch manager of First Merchants Bank in Pendleton after 23 years’ service.
Jill was a member of the Pendleton Community Church of God. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always attending their sporting events cheering them on. Jill was also a cheer leader for other families as well. She loved her card club friends and spending time with them. Jill also traveled with her granddaughter’s high school choir the Emerald Suites.
Jill is survived by her husband Jon M. Wilson, whom she married September 29, 1962; sons: Brett Wilson of Anderson; Brian (Amy) Wilson of Anderson; Brandon (Shannon) Wilson of Pendleton; daughter: Brodi (Vern) Jackson of Pendleton; grandchildren: Callahan (Jody) Wilson; Spencer (Tracy) Wilson; Ethan Wilson; Augdon (Brandi Mathews) Wilson; Chandler (Kiawna Cottrell) Wilson; Cpl. Ashton Wilson, USMC, Satchell Wilson; Maci Wilson and Kahlil Jackson; great-grandchildren: Liam, Rory and Case; brothers: Mick Alford, Jack (Pam) Alford and Jeff (Marsha) Alford; sister-in-law: Karen Alford; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill Alford and sister-in-law Barbara Alford.
Friends may call on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 4 to 8 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A funeral service to celebrate Jill’s life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 am with calling from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Gravel lawn Cemetery, Fortville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Donor Network 3760 Guion Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222.
