John B. Garrison, 73, of Fortville, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017.  He was born August 17, 1944 in Andrew, IN to Alonzo and Martha Garrison.  John was a general contractor who built the Fortville Church of the Nazarene of which he was a member.  He was a custom home builder in Hancock and the surrounding counties.  John drew his own plans and was known for his integrity and attention to detail.  John used his talents as a builder on several Work and Witness Trips, where he loved sharing his talents for the benefit of others.    

John is survived by wife MaryLou (Gray) Garrison of Fortville, daughters: Nicole (Thunder) Williams of Fortville and Natalie (John) Beegle of League City, TX; grandchildren: Miracle Williams, Avery and Mayah Beegle; siblings: Margaret Walker, Barbara Miller, Lona Sumrall and Bruce Garrison.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Dorothea King and Eugene Garrison.

A Celebration John’s life will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Fortville Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Phil Edwards officiating.  Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 5:00 pm until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MaryLou Garrison.   Online condolences may be shared at www.sealsfuneralhome.com.
