Kathleen (Mills) Posey

Kathleen (Mills) Posey, 95, of Fortville, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2019 surrounded by family.  She was born December 16, 1923 in French Lick to James Lee and Hazel Marie (Curtis) Mills.  Kathleen married Warren Posey on March 8, 1947. She was a homemaker and pastor’s wife most of her adult life.  She worked as a seamstress at Fabri-Tech, Inc. in McCordsville for 8 years.

Kathleen was a member of Fortville Church of the Nazarene where she served as a children’s Sunday School teacher for many years. She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, cake decorating and crafting.

Kathleen is survived by children: Beverly (Roger) Myers of Adrian, MI, Linda (Dan) Silvey of Noblesville; Carol (Phil) Stout of Jackson, MI and Joyce (Craig) Ralstin of Fishers; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sisters: June Quinn of Bedford, IN and Annalee Denbo of Palm Harbor, FL; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Posey in 1991, a stillborn son Warren Lee Posey in 1950; her parents, brother Darrel Mills and sister Mary Wilson.

A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.  Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the David’s Promise c/o Compassionate Ministries of Jackson County 3905 Clinton Rd.
