Martha Wise Obituary

Martha H. Wise, 81, of Indianapolis, formerly of Fortville, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 in Indianapolis. She was born April 12, 1937 in Henderson, KY to Ernest and Clara (McCormick) Blake. Martha was a member of Church of the Living Water and the former Fortville Brotherhood and Sisterhood. She had been a cook at Mt. Vernon High School.

Martha is survived by daughters: Donna (Tim) Padfield of Sharpsville; Darlene (Randy) Stoute of Fairland; Marsha Diane Wood of Indianapolis and Tina Wise of Shelbyville; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers: Lewis (Diana) Blake, Ronnie (Brenda) Blake; sisters: Joyce Gower, Anna Oliver, Shirley (Steven) Pike; Goldie (Gilbert) Jenkins; Barbara (Jack) Johnson and Della (Clay) Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Wise in 2013 and her parents.

Friends may call on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 4 to 8 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A funeral to celebrate Martha’s life will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
