Richard A. “Rick” Crossley, 69, of Fortville, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at his home.

He was born August 6, 1950 in Shelbyville, IN to Henry “Pepper” Crossley and Betty J. (Biner) Crossley.  Rick attended Eastern Hancock High School and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, having served from 1969-1975 during the Viet Nam era.

Rick worked for several auto dealerships throughout the years, including Palmer Dodge, Howdy Chevrolet and was the manager of Goeke Chrysler-Dodge.  He ran several of his own businesses as well, C & M Enterprise, with his grandson Jake, and Rick’s Café in Charlottesville.  Rick retired from Commerical Movers as a project manager.  He was also part of the PJ Hot Shoes Racing Crew at Salem Speedway. Rick was a “jack-of-all-trades” and could fix any problem that arose.

Rick is survived by his high school sweetheart Karla (Kingery) Crossley , whom he married June 23, 1979; daughters Ronda RaKaye(James Stevens) Bryant, Randa RaNaye Perkins and Kasey Kylene (Jonathon) Fleener  grandchildren: Jake Maddux, Jalyn (Andy) Lindsey, Zachary Perkins, Bryce Morgan, Reyce Morgan, Kenydi Russell, Nova Fleener, Ava Fleener, Brandon Stevens and Taylor Stevens; great grandchildren: Braelynn McDaniel and Valerie Stevens; a brother, Ronnie Crossley; sisters Sharon Crossley, Judy Brown and Pam Crossley.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John Crossley.

Rick had a sharp bite but dearly loved his friends and family.  He would do whatever had to be done to get it done.

A gathering of Rick’s friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Mt.
