Rosalie Fuqua, 97, of Fortville, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born December 7, 1921 in Mays, IN. Rosalie was a great cook, enjoyed knitting, jigsaw puzzles and word scrambles. She also collected recipes, miniature perfume bottles and read three newspapers a day. Rosalie was a homemaker but worked at Delco-Remy in Anderson during World War II waiting for her fiancé to return from the war. Rosalie was a member of the Church of the Brethren for over 70 years.
Rosalie is survived by sons: James (Nancy) Fuqua and Richard (Denise) Fuqua all of Fortville; grandson Jason (Kate) Fuqua of Pelham, NY and great-grandsons: Harrison and Miller, numerous much-loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Fuqua, father Arthur E. Bridgeman, mother Agnes I. (Carter) Grace, sister Ruth Robinson and infant granddaughter Leslie Fuqua.
A celebration of Rosalie’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
