Susan M. Alford

Susan M. Alford, 64, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at home.  She was born on March 24, 1954 in Beech Grove to the late Eugene and Patricia Strack.  Sue graduated with a B.S. from the I.U. School of Nursing and was a nurse for St. Vincent’s Hospital 86th St., and worked in Medical Code Reporting for MDWise. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time at her lake house.

Sue is survived by children: Matt (Selina) Alford of Noblesville, Michael (Jenny) Alford of Akron, OH, Brian (Cassie) Alford of Lebanon, Amanda Alford of Kokomo and Patrick Alford of Noblesville; grandchildren: Jackson Fields, Alex, Lily, Trevor, Jaran Alford; brothers Mike (Louise) Strack of NJ and Rick (Vana) Strack of Speedway as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Alford in 2014.

Friends may call on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.  A Celebration of Sue’s life will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road 2nd Floor Princeton, NJ  08540.  Online condolences may be shared at www.sealsfuneralhome.com.
