Anthony Edward Lewis

Anthony Edward Lewis, 47, of Fortville passed away Wednesday June 23, 2021, in Indianapolis, surrounded by his family.  He was born on November 17, 1973, in Warner Robins, GA to Dale Lewis and Denise (Oaldon) Compliment. 

Anthony was a 1992 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and received his bachelor’s degree in History from Ball State University in 1998.  He was an IT specialist for One America, and a Deacon for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and assigned to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Fortville.  Anthony was a founding member of the Fortville Council Knights of Columbus and Theta Chi fraternity. He enjoyed working with the church and loved jail ministry, enjoyed cooking, and discovering new things.  Anthony had passion for learning and was a lifetime scholar. More than anything Tony was a devoted husband and loving father to his three boys.

Anthony is survived by his wife Angela (Schneider) Lewis, whom he married on July 11, 1998; three sons, Tyler, Jeffrey and Alex Lewis; parents Dale (Marilyn) Lewis and Denise (Jim) Compliment; brothers, Jeff (Natalie) Lewis, Kory (Amy) Mocas, and Brandon (Micaela) Mocas; sister Katie Lewis; several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. 

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 12:00 pm at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield, IN 46140. Friends may call from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at the Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.  Online condolences may be shared at www.sealsfuneralhome.com.
