Barbara J. (Small) Gardner

Barbara J. Gardner, 68, of Anderson, formerly of Fortville, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023, at her home.  She was born January 28, 1955, in Greenfield, IN to Eugene and Judy (Cook) Small. Barbara was a self-employed contract driver for the Indianapolis Star. She enjoyed Bingo and garage sales. Barbara’s grandchildren were the light of her life. She was generous to everyone and never turned away someone in need. She was everyone’s mom. 

Barbara is survived by children Edward (Tracy) Lindsey, Rachel Lindsey, Amanda (Danny) Robinson, Rocky (Delana) Gardner, Ashley (Mike) Hines and Hershel (Casey) Gardner, 19 grandchildren, brother Dennis (Debbie) Small and sister Neysa (Will) Macy She was preceded in death by her husband Hershel Gardner, her parents, brother Vernon Small, sisters Julie Price, Candy Meek and Christy Small and lastly granddaughter Tayla Jamison.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A funeral to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the funeral at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.  Online condolences may be shared at www.sealsfuneralhome.com.
