Barbara L (Sylvester) Ward

Barbara L. “Pooch” Ward, 85, of Anderson, passed away December 30, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born May 11, 1937, in Anderson to Earl and Fern (Killey) Sylvester.  Barbara was a stay-at-home mom. She loved cooking and everything about Christmas, but mostly she loved taking care of her kids and grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her children: Terry (Lana) Ward, Debra (David) Haskett and David (Tracy) Ward; grandchildren: Brianne, Danielle, Carissa, Colt, Karsyn, Travis, Ciara, Shannon, Brittany, Bryson and 8 great-grandchildren as well as sister Marjorie Zeller. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry L. Ward as well as her parents.

At Barbara’s request, a simple cremation will take place. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Gravel Lawn Cemetery. Please share condolences at sealsfuneralhome.com
