Beverly (Scott) Literal

Beverly Literal, 91 passed away on May 27,2025, in Florida.  She was born on May 15,1934, to Stuart and Velma Scott.  She was a long time Fortville/McCordsville resident.   Beverly was a member of Fortville Christian Church.

She married Winford Literal on August 26, 1951, and they were lifelong farmers.  During Beverly's life she had various jobs and businesses.  Among other jobs, she drove a school bus and was a Longaberger basket representative.  She and Winnie also had an antique business and craft business.

Beverly was preceded in death by Winford; her parents; and a sister, Sandra (John) Helmstadter.

She is survived by daughters Janet (Tim) Skiles and Barbara (Doug) Chapman; grandchildren Katelin Skiles, Emily (Gary) Fields, Sophie Skiles and Eric (Nikki) Sibbing; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Geoffrey (Jan) Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Visitation for Beverly will be held on August 9, 2025, from 11 am – 1 pm, at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat Street, Fortville, IN 46040. A Graveside Service for Beverly will be held on August 11, 2025, at 1 pm at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
