Bobbie J. Griggs

Bobbie J. Griggs, 83, of Ingalls passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, at home surrounded by his family.  He was born June 14, 1938, in Mississippi to Louis and Lillus (Lumpkin) Griggs. Bob was a 1956 graduate of Eastern Hancock High School and retired from Delco-Remy after 38 years’ service.  He was a member of UAW Local #662.  Bob enjoyed painting and attending auctions. Bob was crafty and enjoyed making walking sticks, but the thing he enjoyed most was spending time with his family.

Bobbie is survived by daughters: Cheryl (Richard) Corbin and Sheila (Bryon) Raper all of Ingalls; grandchildren: Allen Beckner, Mandy (Jimmy) Bush, Mason Royce, Jason Beckner and Korie Griggs; great-grandchildren: Brianna Royce, Keely Corbin, Logan Royce, Cooper and Wyatt Bush.  He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy on July 24, 2021, his parents, daughter Stephanie Anderson, grandson Konnor Anderson, a sister and two brothers.

A funeral to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service.  Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Community Home Health Hospice c/o Community Health Network Foundation 7330 Shadeland Station, Suite 150 Indianapolis, IN 46256.  Online condolences may be shared at www.sealsfuneralhome.com.
