Bruce A. Filson, 88, of Eden, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born March 12, 1937, in New Castle, Indiana to Fred and Esta (Snider) Filson. Bruce was a 1955 graduate of Eden High School.

Bruce was a trucker who drove over 1 million miles accident free. Bruce drove for the Liquid Transport Company (formerly Ecoff Trucking) and later worked for Proportion Air in McCordsville for 10 years. He was a member of the Eden United Methodist Church and enjoyed camping, fishing and riding his motorcycle.

Bruce is survived by wife Cris (Estes) Filson, whom he married October 20, 1957, children David A. (Kimberly) Filson, Mark A. (Kelli) Filson, and Karen R. (Mike) Tatom; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and one on the way as well as many nieces and nephews.  

Bruce was preceded in death by his sons Carl N. and Gary R. Filson, his parents, who are listed above, brothers Jay and Zane Filson as well as sisters Joyce Robb, Dona Wainscott and Audrey Woodward.

Friends may call on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat Street, Fortville, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, Seals Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery.
