Carl R. Cloud, 87, of Anderson, passed away on February 4, 2024. He was born on September 5, 1936, in Noblesville, to Claude and Mary Ellen (Davis) Cloud.
Carl served in the United States Army. He retired from Delco Remy in 1985. He dedicated 40+ years to pastoring his beloved congregation at Woodbury Community Church. In his younger years he was an avid hunter, as he grew older, he greatly enjoyed golfing.
Carl is survived by his wife Loretta (Lowe) Cloud, whom he married January 1, 2006. He is also survived by his children Johnny (Sherri) Cloud, Eva (John) Clark, Derinda (Michael) Smith, and Shannon (Jenny) Branscomb; grandchildren Ethan R. (Kimberly) Cloud, Dakota L. (Kevin) Matt, Charrise (Bryan) Davis, April Hand, James Godeke, Chris Clark, Brandon Smith, Corey (Emily) Smith, Justin (Remy) Branscomb, and Alaina (Seth) Bockey; great-grandchildren Elijah, Lily Anne, Lucas, and Oaklynn; brother Robert (Patricia) Cloud; and a host of extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife Betty I. (Wilson) Cloud; several siblings; and his parents Claude and Mary Ellen Cloud.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat Street, Fortville, from 4 – 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Seals Funeral Home at 11 am with calling 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
