Carroll "Curly" L. Bush

Carroll “Curly” L. Bush, 91, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, at his home surrounded by family. He was born June 7, 1931, in Nashville, IN. Carroll was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union and retired from Ford Motor Company after 35 years as a tool maker. During his free time, Carroll enjoyed fishing and carpentry. He was an avid member of the Democratic party.

Carroll is survived by wife Sharon (Caudell) Bush, whom he married March 20, 1971, children: Donna Tweet, Denice Lugar, Debbie Sherfield, Ronald (Coleene) Bush, Edward Bush and Sam Bush; grandchildren: Corey, Vaughn and Dennis Lugar, Angie Eagan, Greg Sherfield and Jordan Rieskamp; 19 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Leonard Bush, mother Elsie (Shields) Chilton, grandson Joseph “Brady” Bush as well as several siblings.

A memorial service to celebrate Carroll’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Columbarium placement of Carroll’s cremated remains along with military rites will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville immediately following the memorial service.
