Cathy Francine (Seymour) Piworski, 71, of McCordsville, passed away on May 10, 2025. She was born on June 29, 1953, in Aruba to James Abner and Nina Edith (Neebe) Seymour.

Cathy graduated from Ocean Township High School in New Jersey. She married Urban Piworski on April 12, 1980. Cathy was the secretary at Fortville United Methodist Church, and she was very active in the Emmaus Walk community going on regular prayer retreats. Later in life she worked at Blue Seas in Fortville. Cathy loved the New York Yankees and music. She was an attentive homemaker. Her proudest role in life was that of a mother to her beloved son Jan and grandma to Maxx.

Cathy is survived by her son Jan (Melissa) Piworski of McCordsville; her grandson Maxx Piworski; and sister Nina Hansen of Ashville, NC. She is preceded in death by her husband Urban J. Piworski; parents James Abner Seymour and Nina Edith Evans; and sister Karen Faye Seymour.

A memorial service in Cathy’s honor will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat St., Fortville, IN 46040. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
