Charles “Chuck” Robert Cummins, 89, of Noblesville, passed away on May 21, 2025. He was born on August 30, 1935, in Hazelwood, Indiana to Clarence and Lena (Fisher) Cummins.

Chuck graduated from Clayton High School. He retired from the United States Marine Corp as a cryptanalyst and served in the Viet Nam War.  After his military retirement he was the Director of Maintenance for McLean Trucking. He also operated a Texaco Gas Station and worked as a letter carrier for the United States Post Office. After his retirement he was an avid traveler alongside his beloved wife Karla who referred to him as “Charlie”. He was also a major contributor and 14 year member of Find a Grave submitting photos and service details as well as creating a significant number of memorials for families of deceased military service men and women.

Chuck is survived by his wife Karla (Schwandt) Cummins, whom he married on June 30, 1960. He is also survived by his son Gary Cummins; grandchildren Kody (Erica) Cummins, Charles (Marysa) Cummins, and Byron (Ashley) Kincade; 9 great-grandchildren; and sisters Doris Wells and Wanda Lewallen. He is preceded in death by his son Andrew “Pat” Cummins; his parents Clarence and Lena Cummins; and brothers Harold Cummins, James Richard Cummins, and Floyd Cummins.

Friends may call on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat Street, Fortville, IN 46040, from 10 am to 12 pm. No formal services will take place at the funeral home. A burial will take place at Stilesville Cemetery, in Stilesville, Indiana, at 2:00 pm with military honors present.
