Charles R. "Chuck" Reineck

Charles R. “Chuck” Reineck, 79, of Fortville, formerly of Elgin, IL, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at his home.  He was born May 23, 1944, in New London, WI to Holice and Gertrude (Steinbach) Reineck. Chuck loved football, bowling, Boston Bull Terriers and computers.  He was a spiritual man who loved to read the Bible and attended Cornerstone Lutheran Church in Carmel.

Chuck was a stationary engineer for Con-Agra and retired after 38 years’ service.

Chuck is survived by his wife Doreen (Dietrich) Reineck, whom he married July 20, 1994, son David (Gabrielle) Reineck of Florida, grandchildren: Sarah (Nathan) Dull, Hannah Reineck, Rebekah Reineck and Lily Sosa, 5 great grandchildren, siblings Gary (Susan) Reineck, Robert (Marilyn) Reineck and Cheri (Dick) Hartwig as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Delores Reineck, son Matthew Reineck, brother Mark Reineck and sister Gail Craddock.

A memorial service to celebrate Chuck’s life will be held at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 195 Nesler Road Elgin, IL 60124 on Saturday, August 26th at 11:00 am. Friends may call from 10:00 am until the service begins.
