Charlie J. Anderson

Charlie Joe Anderson, 70, of Fortville, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023, in Indianapolis. He was born January 23, 1953, in Indianapolis to Arlie and Annie (Scott) Anderson. He attended Mt. Vernon High School and was a plumber and retired from Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 440 after 52 years.

He enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, fishing, hunting and attending car shows.

Charlie is survived by his wife Lisa (Justice) Anderson, whom he married April 28, 2018, children: Curt (Casey) Anderson, Joe (Tammy) Anderson, Shane (Alisha) Anderson, Amanda Troxell, Jaime (Darrell) Johns, Christy (Collin) Schneider; step-children: Robert (Heather) Needham and Melissa (Robert) Baldwin; 21 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; siblings: Danny (Bonnie) Anderson, Harry (Shirley) Anderson, Diana (Mike) Padgett and Lynn (Tony) Hodge as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sue Anderson and brother and sister-in-law Larry and Nancy Anderson and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral to celebrate Charlie’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
