Christy Whitfield

Christine “Christy” Ann Ray Whitfield, 62, of Oaklandon, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on June 21, 1963, to Bob and Mary Ann Ray.

Christy attended Lawrence North High School before pursuing her career in healthcare as a CNA. She was a mother to all and a stranger to none. Christy enjoyed doing her nails, crocheting, doll dresses, and being around those she loved.

Christy leaves behind her sons, Christopher (Savannah English) Upton and Michael Allison; her fiancé, Jack Mather; her mother, Mary Ann Ray; her sister, Cathy Ray; her grandchildren, Ryland, Kevin, Jr., Tyler, Mariah, Robbie, Lily, Jayce, and Emma; and a slew of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Whitfield, Sr., her granddaughter, Lily Iliff, her father, Robert “Bob” Ray, Sr., her brother, Robert “Bobby” Ray, Jr., and her nephew, Dustin Quiroga.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 7:30 P.M. at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat Street, Fortville, with visitation from 5:30-7:30 P.M.
