Connie J. Cocks, 78, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, in Vero Beach, Florida. She was born September 9, 1943, in Vincennes, IN to Walter and Evelyn (Minderman) Phillips. Connie was a reservation specialist and retired from U.S. Air. She had been a flight attendant beginning at the age of 17.
Connie is survived by children: Dr. Tim (Andrea) Cocks and Betsy (Tony) Siano; grandchildren: Mia Adams, Matthew Cocks and Anthony Siano; sister: Patricia Morris and nephew Michael Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Cocks in September 2021, her parents, brother Walter Phillips III and niece Leslie Morris.
A funeral to celebrate Connie’s life will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call from 2:00 pm until the time of service. Burial of Connie’s cremated remains will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Connie’s name may be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, New York 10305 or the Wounded Warrior Project 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300 Jacksonville, FL 32256.
