Connie L. (Grinstead) Wadley

Connie L. Wadley, 81, of Greenfield, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born October 27, 1941, in Greenfield, IN Glenn and Mary Alice (Wallace) Grinstead. She was a member of Trinity Park Church where she was very active. Connie also belonged to the Red Hat Society, was an Elvis fan, enjoyed quilt making, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and assisted with Bible school at the former Maxwell United Methodist Church. 

Connie retired from the former Western Electric Plant in Indianapolis in 1999.

Connie is survived by husband Berry J. Wadley, whom she married May 14, 1958, son Gene Wadley of Fortville, granddaughter Kristin (Derrick Johnson) Wadley, siblings Glendon (Pat) Grinstead of Greenfield, Darlene (Moe) Miller of Indianapolis, Jo Ellen (Kim) Ward of Greenfield and Jace Grinstead of Greenfield as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by son Cash Mitchell Wadley, grandson Mitchell Wadley, daughter-in-law Tammy Wadley, parents and sister-in-law Patty Grinstead.

A funeral to celebrate Connie’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Trinity Park Church 207 W. Park Ave. Greenfield, IN 46140. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place following the funeral at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.  Memorial contributions in Connie’s memory may be made to Trinity Park Church 207 W. Park Ave Greenfield, IN 46140.
