Danielle Leona (Brown) Jones

Danielle Leona (Brown) Jones, 86, of McCordsville, passed away on May 27, 2025. She was born on September 11, 1938, in McCordsville to Willard and Myrtle Leona (Driffel) Brown.

Danielle was a graduate of McCordsville High School. She went on to serve in the United States Army. She worked as a clerk for  the United States Postal Service until her retirement in 1999. She was a faithful member of McCordsville United Methodist Church for many years and was active in the women’s group, Sunday school, the church advisory board, quilting group making quilts to raise money for the church, and was the church custodian. She was also active in Community Sharing of Fortville, Rainbow for Girls, and the McCordsville Food Pantry. She was known for being the cotton candy lady at the McCordsville UMC Festival.

Danielle is survived by her daughters Darlene (Grant) Adams, Carol (Terry) Goff, Beverly Jones, and Anita Averill; 9 grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; and brothers Joseph E. Brown and Phillip (Barbara) Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Nancy Lilly, Barbara Forth, and Lois Barr; and brother Darnell Brown.

A funeral service for Danielle will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat St., Fortville, IN 46040 at 1:30 pm. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery.
