David L. Kincade, 83, of Fortville, passed away Monday, December 22, 2025, at his home. He was born December 29, 1941, in Pendleton, Indiana to Ralph and Thelma (Martin) Kincade.
David was a 1959 graduate of the old McCordsville High School. He was a diesel mechanic who had worked for the former Ecoff Trucking, United Trucking, Ruan Leasing and later retired from IMI.
David was an avid woodworker and metal worker using a lathe to create his projects. He also volunteered his time working as a race mechanic for Goff Racing, a passion he truly loved.
David is survived by daughters, Carol (Jeff) Sweeney of Miami, FL, Karen Kincade of Frankfort, KY, Jean Kincade of Albany, GA, Tammy Sabol, Debby (Doug) Griffey of Fortville; son, Richard “Rick” Kincade; 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brothers Dennis (Janine) Kincade and Dale Kincade as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by wife Phyllis (Hoff) Kincade; parents, listed above and siblings: Charles Kincade, Byron “Bud” Kincade, Donald “Don” Kincade, Bradley Kincade, Barbara Hensley, Delores “Dolly” Wilson and Betty Goff.
In keeping with David’s wishes a simple cremation will take place.
