David B. Shepherd, 59, of Fortville, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022. He was born December 14, 1962, in Greenfield, IN. Dave enjoyed motorcycle riding and tinkering with small engines and projects.  Dave is a U.S. Army veteran. Dave worked as the sexton for Gravel Lawn Cemetery for many years.

Dave is survived by son: Jeffrey David Glen Shepherd, grandsons: Shawn and Robbie Shepherd; father and mother Robert and Macel Shepherd; siblings: Johnny (Vicki) Olvey, Chris Shepherd, Christy (Monte) Thacker, Becky Shepherd-Nester, Amy (Mark) Frost, Mark Olvey, Lisa (Blair) Beals and Benjamin Shepherd as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy (Thomason) Shepherd in 2020 and mother Jeanette (Springer) Shepherd.

In keeping with Dave’s wishes a simple cremation will take place and he will be laid to rest next to his wife Nancy at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.   Online condolences may be shared at www.sealsfuneralhome.com.
