Debra D. Simmons, 69, of Fortville, passed away on October 25, 2024, in Anderson. She was born on November 18, 1954, in Indianapolis to Raymond and Marian (Davis) Taulman.

Debra was a Girls Scout Leader for many years, and she traveled to schools to educate girls about the many aspects of Girls Scouts. Debra took care of many children at Kass & Kerri’s Playroom in Fortville and was known as Nana to many kids over the years. She was a member of Fortville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and crafting. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her daughters and being a Nana to her grandchildren.

Debra is survived by her daughters Amy (Nathan) Schank and Kendra Simmons; grandchildren Kerrigan, Tyler, Kassidy, Conner, Parker, and Emily; and brother Jeff (Carol) Taulman. She is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Marian Taulman and her brother Gary Taulman.

A Celebration of Debra’s Life will take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Gateway Community Church of Fortville at 4 pm with visitation beginning at 3 pm. Please share condolences at sealsfuneralhome.com
