Dennis Lee Hadley, 79, of Fishers, IN, passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2026, in his home surrounded by his family. Dennis was born on May 3, 1946, and lived a life defined by service, hard work, and dedication to his community. Dennis graduated from Arlington High School in Indianapolis and during that time he earned his Eagle Scout Badge. Following high school, he proudly served in the United States Air Force. After completing his military service, he moved to Lansing, Michigan, where he managed a Burger Chef restaurant owned by his father and volunteered as a firefighter, continuing his commitment to serving others.
He later settled in Coldwater, Michigan, where he owned and operated a John Deere dealership. During this time, Dennis pursued his passion for aviation, becoming a private pilot and earning his flight instructor’s license.
In his final career chapter, Dennis founded and operated a warehouse and distribution company, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic. While living in Coldwater, he also served his community for 25 years on the Sheriff’s Reserve and was later hired as an EMT and dispatcher, roles he carried out with dedication and pride.
Dennis retired at the age of 70, leaving behind a legacy of service across military, business, aviation, and public safety. He will be remembered for his commitment to his work, his community, and the many lives he touched throughout the years.
Dennis was known for generosity, humor, and dedication. He enjoyed flying aircraft and the reserve and especially loved his family.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Karen Hadley, his children Scott (Cozette) Hadley and Michelle (Matt) Burlingame. His grandchildren, Ryan (Lexie) Hadley, Cole Roberts, Nicole (Dylon) Walker, Elise Leggett, Mia Leggett, Makena Burlingame, and Madison Burlingame. His great grandchildren, Jonas Hadley and Olivia Hadley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Martha Hadley.
A funeral to celebrate Dennis will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat Street Fortville, IN 46040. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
