Douglas Harrison, Jr. 33, of Fortville, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025. He was born November 20, 1991, in Indianapolis to Douglas and Myla (Henry) Harrison. Doug attended Mt. Vernon High School and worked as a diesel mechanic at Best Way Disposal.
Doug enjoyed music, video games, movies and was a history buff. He could fix anything, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children.
Doug is survived by daughters LeAnna and Emma Harrison and son Walker Harrison, father Douglas Harrison, Sr. siblings Brandon (Lisa) Staker and Hayley (Michael) O’Reilly, 9 nieces and nephews, grandmother Rovena Harrison, uncle Randy Harrison, mother of LeAnna and Emma: Mariah Hale, mother of Walker: Briana Heaton.
He was preceded in death by his mother Myla Harrison, brother Carey Hanson grandfather Beryl Harrison, grandfather Edward Henry, grandmother Rhonda Miller and uncle Mark Harrison.
A funeral to celebrate Doug’s life will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions in Doug’s name be made to Alcoholics Anonymous – Indianapolis 2320 S. Tibbs Ave Suite C Indianapolis, IN 46241.
