Edwin W. Alexander, 83, of Fortville passed away Thursday March 17, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born November 15, 1938, in Monticello, KY to the late Hershel and Sue (Coffey) Alexander. 

Ed retired from Witco-Richardson where he was a machinist.  He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Lawrence.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, squirrel hunting and playing the lottery. 

Ed is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty (Richardson) Alexander, whom he married on February 16, 1957; daughter Sherry (Kevin) Danforth of Anderson; son Eddie (Jodi) Alexander of Fortville; grandchildren Justin (Megan) Danforth, Ashley (Robbie) Metcalfe, Tyler (Natasha) Gutierrez, Jake (Amber) Danforth, and Austin (Savanna Fuchs) Alexander; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother Robert (Nancy) Alexander. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Denver Alexander. 

Funeral services for Ed will be held on Monday March 21, 2022, at Seals Funeral Home in Fortville, beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Burial to follow the services at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.  On-line condolences may be shared with the family at www.sealsfuneralhome.com
