Erline K. (Lummis) Baker

Erline Kay Baker 87, of McCordsville passed away Thursday February 4, 2021 at Traditions at Brookside. She was born August 13, 1933 in Fortville, Indiana to the late Eddie & Ruth (Newkirk) Lummis.

Erline was a graduate of Fortville High School. She married the love of her life, Bob Baker on July 12, 1953. She retired from Hamilton Southeastern Schools and later worked for Wal-Mart in the Accounting department. Erline was a member of the Fortville Christian Church and a past Matron of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed helping people. Bob said she seemed to always make time to help others no matter what her schedule was. She was a people person and if it was on sale, Erline bought it, but more than anything she enjoyed being with her precious family whom she loved dearly.

Erline is survived by her husband Bob; daughter Heidi (Bill Bruner) Baker and sister Shirley Arnett as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.  

Funeral services for Erline will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at noon at Seals Funeral Home, in Fortville. Friends may call from 11:00am until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
