Estella (Moore) Stevens

Estella Stevens, 87, of Fortville, passed away on June 5, 2024, at home. She was born on June 20, 1936, in Anderson to Russell D. and Sylvia D. (Apple) Moore.
Estella was a graduate of Fortville High School and she attended Ball State University. She was a homemaker, helping to look after her family farm and raise her children. As her daughters were growing up she was a Girl Scout Leader and she proudly helped them with 4H.  She was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship Church in Fortville. Estella was passionate about knitting hats for the New Life Mission Trips and worked diligently on them until April 2024. She was also a member of Job’s Daughters.
Estella is survived by her daughters Darcy (Mike) Lund, Abby Anderson, and Francy (Todd) Gable; grandchildren Jeremy (Mandy) Robinson, Cristi (Joe) Quagliesi, James (Jamie) Anderson, Curtis (Casey) Anderson, Shane (Alisha) Anderson, and Keith (Jenna) McNew; and great-grandchildren LJ, Madison, Tarran, Kyle, Matthew, Todd, Buck, Riley, Trey, Will, Alana, Ryann, Logan, Brooklynn, Brandon, and London. She is preceded in death by her husband William J. Stevens, whom she married on April 9, 1954; her daughter Crysie A. Anderson; and grandchildren Jason Robinson and Michelle Lee.
A Funeral Service for Estella will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat Street, Fortville, IN 46040. Friends may call at the funeral home on the day of the service from 11:00 am until the beginning of the service. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Estella’s honor may be made to New Life Christian Fellowship Church.
