Flonnie B Arthur

Flonnie B. (Overton) Arthur 76, of Indianapolis passed away July 30, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born July 20, 1945 in New Castle, In to the late Robert & Gladys (Terry) Overton. 

Flonnie graduated from Walter P. Chrysler High School in New Castle in 1963. She married the love of her life, Jay D. Arthur on April 4, 1964 and enjoyed over 57 years of marriage. She was a homemaker who cherished spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She had a special love for her dog Puddles and often referred to him as the girl’s little brother. She was described as feisty, ornery, funny, artistic and creative, but more than that she was loving. She enjoyed gardening and going to the casinos to play slots, but more than anything, she loved being with her family whom she loved with all her heart.

Flonnie is survived by her husband Jay D. Arthur; daughters Sheri (Robert) Leffel and Amy (Justin) Allee; grandchildren Jacob (Kayla) & Katie Tamblin & Teagan Allee; great grandchildren Ailynn McCullough, Rylee Moye and the Tamblin bun in the oven.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Colean Williams.

In keeping with Flonnie’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
