Forrest L. “Whitey” “Frosty” Whitis, 85, of Fortville, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at his home. He was born February 28, 1938, in Somerset, Kentucky.

Whitey owned AAA Cycle Service in Lawrence. He truly enjoyed working on motorcycles, sometimes 7 days a week.  He also enjoyed riding motorcycles.

Forrest is survived by his wife Gail (Smith) Whitis, whom he married February 16, 1959, daughters Shannon (Randy) Chappell of Fortville and Patricia (Dana) Weidemann of Geogia, grandchildren Jammie Johns, Christy Schneider, Amanda Troxell, Randall Whitis, Jr, Latia Whitis, Samantha Worley and Dalton Weidemann, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, brother David (Barbara) Whitis of Fortville as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sons Randy Whitis and Eric Whitis, father Freeman Whitis, mother Ira (Raney) Willoughby, brothers Billy Whitis and Timmy Whitis.

A celebration of Forrest’s life will begin at 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Shelter House in Fortville’s Memorial Park. Services have been entrusted to Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Online condolences may be shared at www.sealsfuneralhome.com.
